Our mission statement is a simple one: To be one of the best retirement villages in Europe. In order to achieve that, everything we do is completed to an exceptionally high standard and with great attention to detail.
We understand that our clients’ care needs will change over time. Our team is able to provide for your needs not only now but also if those needs change in the future, including palliative and dementia care. As and when the need arises, our in-house doctor and team of nurses will visit you in the comfort of your villa.
Transportation
The Cork Tree Residences provides transportation in a chauffeur fully accessible bus and minivan. We strongly believe that our clients need to enjoy a sense of independence and freedom. We strive to promote the dignity, respect, and well-being of our clients. Trips away from The Cork Tree Residences enables clients to explore, enjoy time with old and new friends, and maintain their independence. Clients can choose to go anywhere, from golfing to classical concerts, to ballet in Lisbon or a trip to the beach. The bus and the minivan are theirs to use at their leisure.
Maintenance
Sometimes things will go wrong. That’s why our maintenance team is on hand to help. Whether it’s to change a light bulb, or adjust the water pressure, we’re ready to take care of the issue quickly and efficiently. If you see something that needs attention, all it takes is a quick phone call to reception to place a work order. You can specify your needs and the work will be scheduled at your convenience, so we can be attentive and accountable to you.
Housekeeping
You’ve had to do the hard work for most of your life so now, why not relax and let us do the work? The Cork Tree Residences housekeeping service allows clients to enjoy doing the things they want to do rather than spending time doing chores. Our goal is to create a worry-free, stress-free environment. We provide daily bed making and rubbish collection services and weekly housekeeping.
Pet Friendly
We believe pets are friends and vital companions, as important as family. That’s why we welcome residents who wish to bring four-legged companions with them, even if they need some assistance in caring for their furry friends. Optional pet services are available for a small fee, so you don’t have to worry about walking, feeding, or even picking up after your pet. Dangerous breeds are not allowed. Exotic animals and difficult dogs need to be pre-approved prior to arrival at The Cork Tree Residences.
Laundry Services
Thanks to weekly laundry services, clients no longer have to do their own laundry. In addition to bed and bath linen being changed twice weekly and underwear laundry service within the monthly service fee, all other laundry and dry cleaning needs can also be taken care of. Fees for this are outlined on our Additional Services menu.
